Spencer continues to have such a burden for the children in Haiti. He is quite concerned about the children who are orphans, and he really prays that someone will adopt them. Every time there is something on TV news about Haiti, no matter what he is doing, his ears perk up, and he wants to know what's happening.
He is concerned that the stronger people are getting the supplies and not the weaker, so he prays that the stronger ones will back off and "let weaker people get food, water, and shelter."
He's concerned about the upcoming possibility of 6 weeks of rain and the people who have no where to go to get out of the rain.
We talk about the doctors and nurses there and pray for them, too.
When Calvary's Kingdom Kids offered the opportunity for the children to give money to help the efforts in Haiti, Spencer immediately said he wanted to give his own money. When we got to church, we realized that he had his wallet with all of his money. He wanted to give it all. He was concerned, however, how Calvary was going to get his money to the children in Haiti!
Spencer is an example to me. Mahree and Merica also used their own monies to donate for the Haitian relief, and I am so thankful for their giving spirit!
This melted my heart. We have another team of doctors & nurses planning to go there March 14-27; please tell S, M, & M hello from us! And for that matter please 'give our love' to AC, R, B, K, S, M, & little S, too! :)
