Today the Stewarts went back to their home,
via the Cheryl taxi, with Bonnie for company!
Was a whirlwind visit of 4 days, but
so glad they came!

They played for several hours outside;
their outerwear was soaked by the time
they came in!

Busy day--Sammy got his cast off today, and a splint put on!
He always smiles for the picture when his elbow is x-rayed!
The Stewarts came for 4 days!
We had gifts, including the blanket Bonnie had made for them!
Laura & Bonnie came along with me to take Kara & Shonda back
to their group home. We stopped off to visit Rick & Nathan at
their group home on our way!

Cheryl is still not allowed to bend all the way
down to pick up things, so she has become
quite creative! Here she is using her "grabber"

Whose's birthday it really is!
We began our day with a French toast
casserole, followed with our last
Advent story, singing Away in the Manger,
and praying.
We had a birthday cake for Jesus,
and sang Happy Birthday to Him.
We also had birthday signs hung for Him.
Then, we opened our gifts to
one another! Lots of mess, noise,
and joy!

Rosie, Shonda, Kara
The 10 kids who live at home,
plus the 3 who live in group homes, traditionally
exchange names on Thanksgiving Day.
Then on Christmas Eve they exchange
the $10.00 gifts they have ready for "their" person!
Before our gift time, we ate and
had our 2nd to last Advent devotional!

Today was a full day--the first two pictures are of our 4H meeting--we
had a new member join today! We decorated Christmas cookies, made little mice with candy canes and felt, and some made little snowmen!
The next 3 pictures are of a special time with 6 families
from Calvary who came caroling and shared cookieswith us. They also brought gifts for everyone!
What a blessed time of fellowship, and meeting new folks!

The Link group at Simeon's school---composed of
regular ed kids--really like Simeon. They know
how much he likes buses, and threw him a
school bus party! They even had a cake made
that was decorated like a school bus!
They took a walk over to the bus garage, and
let him see all the buses, etc there!
He also got this cool shirt! What a nice
group of kids and teachers!

The 3 elementary kids had their
classroom Christmas parties
today, and rode home with me!
